Hey guys! Welcome to the much awaited blog post of Lips 'N' Gossips. I am Srotoswini Sarkar and here I present you with My Top 5 Matte lipsticks, all under Rs.300.

• Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick

A quite popular Indian brand, which presents us with it's own creation of matte lipsticks. There are beautiful 24 shades, retails at Rs. 100 and stays intact for 5-6 hours. Good pigmentation and gives a fair matte look without making your lips very dry. Very simple packaging. At this price range, Elle 18 surely did a great job with matte lipsticks.

I have the shade Pink Kiss. You may notice me wearing this shade in many of my Insta or Facebook dps. So recently one of my best friends got the shade Prom Pink. Needless to say we both love these shades.

• Menow Kissproof Soft Matte Crayons

These come in 19 shades and retails for Rs.100 each. They do quite a justice to their name! Thus, it doesn't come off if you eat or drink anything. Removing this lipstick might be a bit of hassle; otherwise for a really dry, matte look these lip crayons are really one of the best. But you will have to use a sharpener to sharpen it. I have the shades 4,7,9,14 and 15. I love these shades and so does my cousin sis, to whom I have gifted the shade 1.

• Kissbeauty Long Lasting Multicolour Matte Lips Lipbeauty

You say matte lipsticks, I hear Kissbeauty! These are surely rare to get. Priced at Rs. 160 in https://www.cuffsnlashes.com/ and Rs.140 in https://www.glamipick.com/ . These are a must try. Highly pigmented. Awesome 24 shades. If you want the whole set, check out Amazon for that. Stays on for hours, doesn't come off even after you take a bath. Sturdy and quite cute packaging is an addition.

• Blue Heaven Gossip Matte Lipstick

Another Indian brand presenting us with the driest matte lipstick ever! Comes in 12 different shades. Intensely pigmented and quite comfortable on lips. Doesn't feel like you are wearing any sort of lipstick at all! Quite smudgeproof and lasts upto 9 hours. Retails at Rs.150.

The only thing that puts me off about this lipstick is it's flimsy packaging, otherwise at this price it is quite a gem.

While we are at Blue heaven let's talk about another matte lipstick from the same brand itself. Titled at Non-Transfer Lip Colour, which retails at Rs. 205. This is a liquid lipstick and  I have used this from a cousin of mine.These are surely worth a try. Doesn't smudge or come off even after you have taken a meal. Intense colour which is available in 6 vibrant shades. It gives extremely smooth matte finish. Though it makes the lips stiff due to its extreme matte effect. Also has a bit of unpleasant smell which goes away after a while.

• Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick

Priced at Rs. 300, Lakme brings us one of the best lipstick that a girl or woman should have. Not only as a matte lipstick, this would be among the top lipsticks that you'll love. 25 shades to match the Indian skin tones especially. Creamy matte texture and highly pigmented. It stays really long for 3-4 hours, until you intake any food or drinks. May have to reapply after that. But that can be kept aside if you don't want your lips to get much dry by your matte lipstick, cos this lipstick will definitely keep your lips moisturised. The sturdy and chic packaging steals my heart too!!!

Hey there! I am Srotoswini Sarkar. Thanks a lot for liking my previous blog post so much. And those who haven't seen it yet, I will put a link below for you guys to check it out.

Now as I have said according to all the polls conducted on the social media sites, it was quite well evident that people love gossips a lot. Thus today's content is about HOW TO GET DE-TAN FACIAL AT HOME @Rs.58-63! THAT TOO TWICE A MONTH!!

Now you all have surely heard about ORIFLAME. Oriflame presents us with this awesome Facial Kit that comes for two various skin types. One is for DRY TO NORMAL skin. Another one for OILY/COMBINATION skin type. 

The one for DRY/NORMAL skin is a Tropical fruits Facial kit which contains extracts of Guarana, Papaya and Pineapple, that not only cleanses your skin and softens it, but also helps to restore skin radiance and acts quite well as a detan kit. 

The other one is Tea tree and Rosemary facial kit. Tea tree extracts help to control excess oil, balance and purify the skin along with its detan action, leaving it matte and healthy looking.

I recommend this keeping in mind that hardly any of us go to salons every month to get a detan facial or facial of any kind. But with this I will have a tan free, clear skin every month. 

Getting Rid Of Tan Has Never Been This Easy!

I have combination skin... So I use the tea tree kit. I got it for Rs.900 when offers were on. And I am pretty sure it is gonna last more than a year. Thus that makes it quite cheap.

There are 4 easy steps that you need to follow. 

1. Purify your face with the tone gel.
2. Face scrubbing will exfoliate and remove the dead skin and impurities and tan as well. Takes about 5 minutes.
3.  Massage your skin with Face Lotion for about 10-15 minutes, to rebalance the skin tone.
4. Apply adequate amount of Kaolin Clay Mask and leave it for 15 minutes before wiping it off.

Now everyone knows how important it is to apply a clay mask to purify your skin. The best part of this Kit is that it already is a part of this facial.

I will highly recommend this to everyone. Not only me but also my mother, my best friend and few of my relatives who have used this, speak highly of it. My best friend fell in love with her skin just after the first use and so did I. Another best part of it is it's smell. The fragrance is so nice that it will provide you a calm and peaceful aura, that will put your whole mind to rest which is quite necessary during a facial.

I am a proof that a lipstick can.

Hey there! I am Srotoswini Sarkar and welcome to the first post of LIPS 'N' GOSSIPS. I guess you can already understand on what this blog will be based upon. 

Here's what we are gonna do.. There will be few polls on instagram, facebook and for my whatsapp friends (all descriptions will be given below). You got it right! You guys are gonna decide on what content my next blog post will be. This blog is totally for you people and yeah you control 50% of it. ^_^

Just because this is the first post, we will be talking about HOW TO GET LIPS LIKE AN ANGEL. 

Well we girls, including the boys love pink lips. And angels whom we dream have smooth, pink and flawless lips. 

Now I have seen lots of girls struggling to keep their lips pink and have faced the same struggles too. Trust me, scrubbing and all the hacks that we do is a heck lot of work. Being a lazy person myself, I tend to search for alternatives. And yeah so this post is about those alternatives for all the lazy people out there.... :D

Down below I have listed 3 Affordable lip lighteners and balms that will not only give us a smoother lip but also lighten the pigmentations and tanning of our lips.

•  Biotique Bio Morning Nectar Lightening Lip Balm SPF 30 UVA/UVB Sunscreen

 Coming from a very renowned brand, this is quite an affordable lip balm that we can find in market and on nearly every online site. This lip balm comes in two packages: one is of 12gm tub and another is of 5gm lip roller. Now an obvious difference you will see from the pictures down below that the lip roller is quite travel friendly than the tub. It claims to provide sun protection (SPF 30), moisturizes dry and chapped lips and makes it soft and smooth. It is an ayurvedic product and contains herbal ingredients and it is also dermatologically tested. The 12gm pack will cost you Rs.175 and the 5gm is listed at Rs.149. But thanks to Nykaa that there are offers going on and you can grab these at 20% off which basically makes the price Rs.140 and Rs.119 respectively.

Now the real question is -- Does it really provide what it claims? Well yes luckily it does! It lightens and protects your lips on regular application. The results appear in 1-2 months. So my advice is to be a bit patient with it. And even if on rare occasions it doesn't provide you with lightening effect, it will definitely make your lips softer and smoother than before. A goodbye to dry chapped lips well ensured. :) 

• PROWOMEN Lip-Lightener And Non-Tinted Lipstick Undercoat

You will get this in Nykaa, Amazon and Flipkart as well. It retails at Rs.399 and has a fruity berry flavour. It also has SPF 15 and claims to lighten dark lips caused due to sun exposure, lots of coffee intake or allergies. Also moisturize your lips well, peels off dead skin cells from lips and acts as a lip primer before application of any lipsticks / lip color as well. It has a stainless steel roller which claims to provide upto 600 applications thereby making it extremely inexpensive.

The catch in here is that you will get another product for dark lips caused by smoking under the name Prowomen Lip Lightener (Coffee flavour) which retails at Rs.319 and is EXCLUSIVELY FOR SMOKERS. As we are onto this, it also delivers another product under the name PROMEN Lip-Lightener (Mint Flavour) which retails at Rs.325. Guys out there worried about their lips getting dark due to heavy smoking or caffeine intake should definitely grab this.

My best friend had gifted me this product 2 months back and after regular usage, I have come up with few pros and cons.

PROS

1.  This surely works but very slowly. After regular use, I have found genuine results. So did my best friend.
2. A must grab for smokers because it definitely removes pigmentation caused by smoking and acts as a protective shield to lips if you apply it before grabbing a drag.
3. A great moisturizer which definitely removes dead cells thus making the lips soft and supple. I have dry lips like throughout the year and this has definitely helped me a lot to repair the chapped lips.
4. Non tinted, thus applying it as a base coat before applying Matte lipsticks definitely helps to make lines and dry skin on the lips vanish.
5. Has SPF 15 which protects the lips from the harmful UV rays of sun and as a lip primer it protects your lips from any harmful chemicals of your lipstick.
6. Stainless steel rolling applicator makes it hygienic andincreases the longevity as very less products are wasted in this way.
7. Travel friendly too.

CONS

1. You may feel a slight tingling or burning sensation. Though it goes away after sometime but it does irritate me a bit. 
2. The flavours are strong and are a definite no no for some.
3.  Time taking results where some people may respond negatively.
4. Moisturization effect doesn't stay much long and may have to be reapplied.
5. More than 600 applications may be a hoax too.

• The One Lip Spa Intense Lip Balm From ORIFLAME

Like who doesn't know this brand!!! The famous ORIFLAME from Sweden presented us with this miracle lip spa therapy. It can cure and repair what not on your lips. It can even cure deep cuts on your lips or burns and also provides your lips with intense moisturization. 

SAY FOREVER GOODBYE TO DRY LIPS. With regular application you will get a pinker and smoother lips. Best time is to apply at bedtime and wake up with smoother lips like never before. SPF content is not known though which may appear as a con. 

It comes in 2 shades, Transparent(31442) and Natural Pink(31443). It retails at Rs.349 and I guess you'll all know how to grab this. 

Though even it takes time to lighten the lips but getting smoother lips is quite fast and quite effective.

I will definitely recommend it to all. Choose your shades properly as the natural pink is a tinted one. 

I have used this the most and have kept the last bit of it for emergency purposes such as cuts, which I tend to get a lot during winter due to excessive dryness, until I buy another one.
